Carol Stream, IL – Four books produced by Oasis Audio have been named finalists in five categories in the annual Audie Awards competition by the Audio Publishers Association. This is the highest number of finalists Oasis has had at one time in its more than 10 years of publishing and the most from an inspirational audio publisher this year.

With more than 100,000 sold since its July release, Oasis’ best-selling audio, The Shack by William P. Young and narrated by Roger Mueller, is a finalist in the Inspirational/Faith-Based Fiction category. Chicago-based actor, Mueller, appeared in the dramatic audio series, Left Behind, and has read numerous books for Oasis. In December, Oasis released a revised version of the audio with new content including interviews with Young.

Tim Gregory’s reading of Ted Dekker’s Adam is also a finalist in the Inspirational/Faith-Based Fiction category. Gregory is the founder of Provision Theater Company and host of HGTV’s New Spaces. Joe Wheeler’s book, Abraham Lincoln: A Man of Faith and Courage, read by Grover Gardner, is up for an award in two categories—Inspirational/Faith-Based Non-fiction as well as the main Non-fiction category. Gardner, one of America’s most popular and versatile audiobook readers, has read more than 650 books and won numerous awards, including an Audie.

Nationally recognized author and inspirational speaker Andy Andrews, who read his own book, Mastering the Seven Decisions, is a finalist in the Business/Educational category. Andrews received an AudioFile Earphones Award for his reading, which AudioFile called, “an extraordinary audio on how to move past the darkest, most dysfunctional periods of life.”

Winners will be announced on May 29 at the awards ceremony, scheduled to take place at the New York Historical Society.
